Trial-View from Exhibit One

The Superior Court of California, County of Lassen, utilizes the TrialView system from Exhibit One in the Department One and Department Two courtrooms. The equipment is available for counsel use at trial.

TrialView from Exhibit One is a computerized system that allows all jurors and participants to see trial exhibits at exactly the same time, enhancing the effectiveness of an attorney’s presentation to the court and jury. Trial time is reduced by allowing the jurors and judge to see what the attorney is presenting to a witness in real time.

Monitors are located at the attorney presentation lectern, counsel tables, witness stand, judge’s bench, jury box, and clerk’s desk. The monitors at the presentation lectern and witness stand are “touch screen” with multiple color capabilities.

Audio and video evidence may be displayed using cassette, CD, VCR, or DVD.

A document camera displays photographs, documents, and objects.

A video printer can print the displayed image and can be marked as a trial exhibit.

Attorneys interested in using the equipment for trial should contact the Security Division of the court. Local Rule No. Two, Paragraph 12, requires counsel to make arrangements with court staff for use of the equipment at least two court days prior to trial.
