Access to

Access to

Center does NOT provide legal
representation or give legal advice about cases. The Family Law Facilitator is NOT your attorney. He will not represent you in a
court action. The information you
provide to the Family Law Facilitator and staff will not be kept secret,
private or confidential. Everyone
has equal access to the services of the Access to Justice Center/Family Law
Facilitator.
Legal
resources include reference books, videos, legal forms, and information packets
on various areas of law. Computers
with legal software and access to legal internet sites are also available.
Supervised
child care facilities are not available at the Access to

The staff and resources at the Center
are available to assist you in understanding and dealing with legal
issues. They will make referrals to
other community agencies that may benefit you, as well. Spanish assistance is available.
The public is invited to:

Schedule an appointment with the Family Law Facilitator.
Ø
Utilize the computers for research and preparation of legal
forms.
Ø
Obtain referrals.
Ø
Attend free workshops on preparing divorce documents. Watch for dates and times.
Ø
Watch videos/DVDs to assist you in understanding certain areas
of law.
Resources
and Information:
If
you have filed a Domestic Violence Restraining Order and feel that you need
further counseling and/or support services not provided by the Access to
Lassen Family
Services

If
you are paying support through the Department of Child Support Services (DCSS)
and you lose your job, or your income is reduced, call, write or go to the DCSS
office immediately to make arrangements to have your support payments
reduced. Be sure to include your
DCSS Case Number on all correspondence.
